kindness

To anyone who is willing to reply to this, Hello my name is michael, i'm 16 and have been told many times i'm the nicest person in the school, my perspective on life has drastically been altered over the past few weeks. Day in and day out, i try to my best to always put others before me, and at the end of the day, i feel great, but it just seems that i am too nice and i don't ever get shit back, not that i am asking for anything in return, but you know every once in a while it would be nice if someone could lend a hand to a person in need, man im tired of being so damn nice, i hate it. its not fair.

Michael...

I believed whatever nice things done to others is returned to you in one way or another. This, however, does not necessarily mean that "that" kindness has to come from those whom you had shown kindness to. I understand how you feel, Michael. Many times I've been into situations you are now.
Kindness is one of my virtues. Very kind that often times I did not notice that I am already used and abused. I was hurt as a result and learn my lesson.
Set limitations for whatever you do and envision whatever consequences they might bring if you go beyond limits. The pros and cons of it. Sometimes, being "unkind" could bring goodness to the person whom we denied kindness.
God bless you, Michael.
