If there wasn't a God 'twould be wise of me
To love you more for time's shorter than thought
And even selfishly to love you more
Would make my heart beat faster feeling though
No greater warmth could come my way today.
If this is so then 'twould be wise of God
To make out She is not around so that
I and every lover loves their other
Far more and not being a jealous God
As a God of Love wouldn't be since more love
Surely would be Her wish for every one.
