The Story of Us (Enduring Love)

Through many years of misery, alone with despair
I searched for my true love, but no one was there
Our love had I lost so long, long ago
It was so pure, so deep and as white as the snow
That long lost love I could never let go
Its memory haunted me and tortured me so
But then out of nowhere one day you returned
You found in my heart that the flicker still burned
Through your words and your touch that flicker did grow
And the love in my heart for you would soon flow
When you returned my love only yours I became
And one day I know we will both share one name
You give my life purpose to get out of bed
I want to show my emotion but no words can be said
Our souls are entwined and forever will be
For I’ll love you forever my dear Genevieve
Very nicely done.

As I read your poem, I thought to myself, "this would make a very good wedding vow poem." Kudos! This poem was nicely done.
Kind regards,
