God's Angels walked upon the earth
In search of weary souls
And they came upon dear Vernon
In all his pain and woe
They gently gathered around him
to look into his life And saw that he had children,
grandkids, and a wife
Although he was still needed
By his family and his friends
The Angrls all could see that
His journey soon must end
And so they whispered to him
"Dear Vernon you must go"
"To live with God in Heaven"
"Where there is no growing old" But they told him to remember
Before he was to leave
Give each family member
A special memory
So he chose some happy memories
And placed them in their minds
To help his friends and family
heal there sadness over time
Then the Angels took him by the hand
And carried him away
To join Heaven's Angel band
Where we'll meet again some day
