Platonic Love

It’s easier to dream of romance whether true or fantasy; some things you think but never consider writing. And to write about the bonds between just the guys that I've known, under the subject of romance, was quite challenging, until I began to write. There are many things, feelings, and emotions shared; not in secret but openly that reveals a great deal about that bond. And after having compared it to the bonds that I've shared with women, I added them all, and called it platonic love.
I
For love is passionate but truly abstract
A trek which makes the heart seem decumbent
As the mind vies to gait and not retract
The soul does not try to circumvent
His embrace for life when it's ephemeral
When sharing advice is still the most
Then sharing a mat is still venerable
When weariness comes from women or men
His hand should feel the same in a rally
Or the open the streets of Bacalod
Since his words like hers makes us happy
Whether talking of friends or the love of God
The mandate transcends the elect and ordain
Love is passionate and abstract again

II
Whether facing the register or Trimurti
Only emanates our goals and plans
While walking the isle to our destiny
As the mind obviates and pans
Friendship should make the heart wanton for more
Since it transcends the most fervid affair
Like the fire that drives a devout jongleur
Prudence is the mode of the mind aware
When words or diverse and truly caring
And the mind tethers the soul with the touch
And passions when those words must be truly sharing
When the soul dare let the mind speak too much
Platonic love sees through glass stained or clear
And can capture sounds silent to the ear
