As I sit out here

As I sit out here,
Just one person comes to mind,
I ask myself why,
But no answer comes to mind,
Maybe it’s because I miss her or maybe because I wish she was here by my side,
But still no true answer comes to my mind,
But as I sit here,
My heart start beating faster and faster,
Suddenly my heart skips a beat,
I can't breathe I can't think I can't see,
I'm perplexed,
I ask myself why,
But only one answer can come to mind,
And it’s you,
You are my kryptonite,
You are the one that makes me weak,
The one that I look forward to seeing every waking minute that I breathe,
You are my all,

THE FEVER OF FEAR

THE FEVER OF FEAR

Cannons are bursting hot metal from the ground.
Soldiers are looting and burning our town.
The fever of fear rushes through my veins,
As too many Bluecoats jump from troop trains.

Smoke from hot barrels is swirling around,
As four thousand muskets volley their sound.
All of my comrades have stopped a lead ball;
Most cry out, then stumble and fall.

Even the young lad who carried our flag,
Now he lies dead as he clings to that rag.
Wagons with the wounded trail blood on the ground,
Death and destruction are easily found.

The Generals are crying 'cause they can't stand defeat;

FOR EVER YOURS

As the days go by
as our lifes grow old
may you walk with me
hand in hand we'll hold,
and 'till the end my darling
will I "SO HOLD TRUE"
that for but each other
"MEANT" were me and you.
If your presence is absent
when time is pass exist
"HEAVEN" will be bleak
if your luster is missed,
thus I would not stay
if you are nowhere their
for the fitting place
would have lost its glare,
I would "DIE" again
to be born in you
being in every beat
that your heart induced
and throughout your body
it would introduce
my lingering existance
with your own would truce

OUR FLAG

OUR FLAG

Our flag is fabric wove of thread,
Carried by heroes live and dead.
She stands for justice and courage too,
With her colors; red, white and blue.

For all who serve her, there’ll be cheers,
For any who die, there’ll be tears,
For all who love her, life is swell,
For those who harm her, war is hell.

How many moms have cried before,
As they sent their children to war.
How many dads have not returned,
Because our freedom must be earned.

Wars were waged where brave men died
As patriots fought side by side.
Our flag is still the pearl of earth,
Because of those who prove her worth.

DAVID AND GOLIATH

DAVID AND GOLIATH

David, the shepherd, a tender of sheep,
Would pray to his God before he would sleep.
One day he awoke to the roar of beasts;
A bear and a lion in search of a feast.

David slew both with his knife and his hand,
Though still just a boy and not yet a man.
The Lord's love for David was proven once again,
When he challenged the champion of the Philistine men.

Goliath’s beastly fingers and hideous toes,
Made David more selective with the stones that he chose.
One for the giant, he knew he would slay,
Four more for his brothers who were laughing that day.

The giant told David, "I'll tear you apart;

BECOMING AMERICAN

BECOMING AMERICAN

We have always been a nation of immigrants,
Yet immigrants cause us to divide.
Newcomers are welcome when legitimate
For their energy, talents and pride.

To many besides the undocumented
Break our laws despite what they say.
As the anxious by the thousands
Pour over our borders each day.

The absolute one way to bring America to ruin
Is to let it become a clash of nationalities.
Even now as we argue and debate
We’re ignoring our long-term realities.

It’s time to bring back the melting pot
Or at least an updated application.
For one and all to assimilate and embrace

SATAN’S HORDE

SATAN’S HORDE

Overrun with war and uncontrolled leaders,
Our world becomes more dangerous each day.
dishonest politicians, criminals and the media
Survive by their falsehoods at play.

Bible believers preach, that the end is near
Our world as a whole is beyond reform.
God will eradicate all which is wicked
By his fire of eruption and storm.

To evil’s victory, I will never concede
May its supporters anguish in hell.
By the grace of God and the power of faith
The goodness of man will prevail.

What we accomplish is heaven’s measure
As patriots respond to the threats of man.

A Fragment / By Anne Bronte

Anne Bronte
1820 - 1849

A Fragment

 'Maiden, thou wert thoughtless once
Of beauty or of grace,
Simple and homely in attire
Careless of form and face.
Then whence this change, and why so oft
Dost smooth thy hazel hair?
And wherefore deck thy youthful form
With such unwearied care?
'Tell us - and cease to tire our ears
With yonder hackneyed strain -
Why wilt thou play those simple tunes
So often o'er again?'
'Nay, gentle friends, I can but say
That childhood's thoughts are gone.
Each year its own new feelings brings
And years move swiftly on,

And for these little simple airs,

MARRIAGE SEX AND ROMANCE

MARRIAGE SEX AND ROMANCE

“Some other time, I’m not in the mood
Why cant we just cuddle and watch TV”?
When couples drift into the celibate zone
It’s not long till someone will flee.

Sexual fulfillment helps preserve love,
Parenthood, marriage and self-esteem.
Those who maintain it avoid saying no
To be blessed by its pleasure and gleam.

While dating we tend to be more romantic
Putting forth the best of our charms.
Sharing dinners, long walks, and lustful weekends
As we spend more time in each others arms.

How many times have you said “not tonight”?
Exposing your happy home to harm.

ON MY KNEES WITH FOLDED HANDS

ON MY KNEES WITH FOLDED HANDS

On my knees, with folded hands,
I thank the Lord each day;
For when I think of life itself
It makes me want to pray.

Most of my friends are dead and gone;
You’ll find flowers where they lay.
I know that some of them,
To heaven found their way.

So many times I've looked up
To heaven in the night,
Asking answers from our Lord
Who's always in my sight.

Any day could be my last,
There's no time to fuss or fight.
There's just time to be loved.
Who cares who's wrong or right.

By Tom Zart
