When I think of a true friend, I think of someone who really loves and cares about me. They'd make sacrifices for me, just like I would them. Someone trustworthy, someone who I share beliefs and opinion with, and someone who won't leave my side if I'm down (loyalty. A true friend is someone who won't give up on you, no matter what. Someone who wouldn't put me at risk and would keep me out of trouble, just as I would for them. Nothing would make me compromise those qualities in a friend unless you've dome something to violate what they expect of you as a friend.
